  • A note from Monika:

    In 2018, I envisioned and started hand-fabricating a new style of bail – the feature of a pendant that connects the setting and the chain – for my gemstone necklaces. That component turned out to be simply exquisite.

    As I turned one in my hands, inverting its orientation and feeling the weight of the gold, I began to map out its evolution from one element of a composition to a distinctive piece all its own.

    Its resemblance to the classical stringed instrument inspired the name, and the lyre's elegant silhouette continues to stir up new and exciting design ideas.

    This latest addition to my signature lyre collection just happens to be the first pair of hoops I've ever made.
